Diljit Dosanjh romanced Kareena Kapoor Khan in his first Bollywood film, Udta Punjab and Anushka Sharma in his second, Phillauri.
Buzz was, he was cast for Kaneda, which stars Anushka as well. Diljit admits that director Navdeep Singh came to him with the script, “It’s very different from what people have seen me doing. I loved the story of Kaneda. Bohut hi powerful hai story iss film ki.”
But he dismisses all talk about being offered the Karan Johar-Salman Khan production venture starring Akshay Kumar. “That’s not true. I have not been offered that film at all,” he says.
He is excited about Super Singh, produced by Balaji Motion Pictures. “I’m very excited to start that film because it is the first Punjabi superhero film. Balaji is backing it. That is again a very interesting script,” he signs off.
