Actor Varun Dhawan has claimed that his upcoming action-drama "Dishoom" features Bollywood's most expensive chase sequence ever.
The film, also starring John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez, assures a lot of adrenaline-pumping action scenes, out of which its helicopter chase sequence is said to be the most expensive and the longest in the history of Bollywood. The 11-12 minute long sequence has apparently cost its makers a whopping Rs 3 crore. "Dishoom is my very first action film and I am delighted to be a part of the most expensive action sequence. It was very tough but I thoroughly enjoyed myself shooting for it," said the 29-year-old actor in a statement.
A lot of international crew was used for the scene, which was shot in Morocco. The movie, directed by Varun's brother's Rohit Dhawan, is about India's top batsman going missing in the Middle East (West Asia) and two cops from either side of the Arabian Sea teaming up for a 36-hour manhunt.
Also featuring Akshaye Khanna and Saqib Salem, "Dishoom" has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
It will hit theatres on July 29.
