Ellen DeGeneres may have had a lot kids on her hit talk show, but she feels it's too risky to parent one.

While chatting with Today Show Matt Lauer, the talk show giant, who's been married to Australian actress Portia de Rossi since 2008, said that while she loves kids, she wouldn't have them as it was a huge commitment for life, News.com.au reported.

57-year-old joked with the NBC veteran it would get weird if she didn't  like the child, or it wasn't as cute or smart as she wanted, and she would end up comparing the child with all the other kids. She added that she was getting too old, and though kids were adorable, they were not for her.

DeGeneres also shunned the rumours about her de Rossi separating, saying that she was "more flabbergasted by the fact that someone needs to make up a story".
