"You observe him and that is the best thing, see his enthusiasm and excitement today even after over 45 years and that is amazing."

Actor Farhan Akhtar, who is sharing the screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in "Wazir", hopes to have same level of enthusiasm when he reaches Big B's age.

Farhan, who had directed Bachchan in "Lakshya", is acting with him in the Bejoy Nambiar directed film, set for release on January 8.

"You don't go and speak to someone of his stature asking for tips. But you observe him and that is the best thing, see his enthusiasm and excitement today even after over 45 years and that is amazing."

"We hopefully think we also have same excitement like him at that age," Farhan said responding to a query on whether he took any suggestions from the senior Bachchan on his energy level.

Farhan said directing and acting with Bachchan have different sets of challenges, but is an enjoyable experience.

"But I had great time working with him in either capacity," he added.

Farhan was talking to reporters at a promotional event of "Wazir", a tale of two unlikely friends - a wheelchair-bound chess grandmaster (Amitabh Bachchan) and a brave ATS officer (Farhan Akhtar) who are brought together by grief and a strange twist of fate.

"There is no competition with him (Bachchan). It's a great collaboration. It's nice because you challenge yourself in a scene. As an actor I am young, I have grown up watching his films. I am a huge admirer of him," he said.

Farhan said he felt fantastic to work with Big B. "It helped me up my performance," he added.
