May 4 is considered to be Star Wars Day by fans of the franchise, as the date was chosen due to its funny pun of one of its famous line, "May the force be with you "- "May the Fourth be with you".
The official Star War's Twitter account, sent out a special tweet to its religious followers to mark the special day.
Twitter has set up new symbols for Star Wars Day hashtags. When one writes #StarWarsDay or #MayThe4thBeWithYou, a minature Stormtrooper will be added to your message.

Fans from around the world have taken the internet by storm, using Twitter to send out close to 43,000 tweets posted with the #StarWarsDay, according to the Independent.
Ofcourse the people down on Earth weren't the only one's having all the fun, as the International Space station took time to share a message as well from space.
