When Varun revealed his secret fantasy...

Varun Dhawan celebrates his birthday today, and it's not only an important day for the actor but also his loyal fans. And while they may not be a part of his birthday celebrations, here's a special treat in store for them. We revisited some of the interviews of the actor, to give his fans a peek into his thoughts and ambitions. Here's more dope on the actor.

On secret fantasies: Not one to shy away from answering a question, Varun took this on by sharing an interesting aspiration. He said, "I would love to run a country! I don’t know how bad or well I will perform, but this is something going on in my mind for a while (winks). But I won’t choose India for that matter!"

On that special someone: Varun revealed, "I want someone who is just like Alia's character in the film (Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania). She should be very helpful, protective and ambitious. You need that person in your life who pushes you to do something. She should be beautiful from within and outside."

On using a beauty product: He said, " Once I had a hickey on my neck and I had gone to a family function where I used a sister's concealer to hide it. Otherwise, I would have got a good beating from my elders."

On his equation with his father: Varun said, "He is not strict at all. He is more of a friend. For instance, when I make a mistake, he will say, "Yaar tune mere saath aise kiya (You did this to me)," like a friend would say. He has given me everything. He says, "Do whatever you like, enjoy your life, and then learn for yourself." But he gets strict he if has to (smiles).

On being the kid in the family: Varun said, "Honestly, I feel like I am still little (laughs). Maybe, it's because my parents and my brother (Rohit Dhawan) still treat me like a kid. My friends still treat me the way they used to when I was in school. Karan (Johar) still laughs at me whenever I talk to him. So, he is exactly the same with me. I can project being this mature guy who is successful now, but fortunately, I am not that person. I still have a lot of growing up to do. I still enjoy the simple things that I have always enjoyed. I don't want to... I'm scared of growing up."
