The actor and the director reveals that they have already decided on a script for the 'DBB' sequel.

Dibakar Banerjee's ambitious sleuth film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy recently released and has been garnering positive responses from all over. With collections spiking up throughout the weekend, Dibakar is one happy man.

Following Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore's lines, Dibakar decided to have an anti-climax, with a rather open ending to DBB. That has kept the audiences waiting for the sequel. Ask Dibakar and he tells us, "We have definitely planned how to go forward with the franchise. We definitely want to make more films on Byomkesh. The first one was to introduce the regular characters and most importantly bring Byomkesh in front of the audience which we did. People have loved the film and they have been asking me when we are making the second part"

The director also revealed that he already has the sequel ready. "Much before the film released, I had already started working on the second film to Byomkesh. God willing, we will start with it soon." Sushant Singh Rajput, who played the titular character in the film also confirmed the same. "We have the rights of using as many stories as we want for our film. We wont be making 32 because by then I will be 61! (Laughs) I don't know about that right now. We are just thinking about the next one at the moment," he continues. "We were just discussing the second story. Me and Dibakar were talking about it. The idea is superb so let's hope for the best", Sushant adds.

While Dibakar has already planned his next, he informs us that it will happen only on one condition- DBB needs to do well at the box office. "It is not a heavy budget film and I hope the film will break even. I am desperate for the film to work because then only can we make another film"

DBB has already raked in around Rs 8.70 crore at the box office in the first two days and given the positive word of mouth prevailing, the movie is expected to do well throughout the entire week.
