HBO also talked about when fans can expect the second season of 'Westworld' to release.

HBO has ordered a second season of the sci-fi robopocalypse thriller Westworld along with Sarah Jessica Parker's Divorce and Issa Rae's Insecure. All three shows, which debuted this year, will get another 10 episodes.

Casey Bloys, President, HBO Programming made the announcement, “I am thrilled to announce the pickup of our three fall series, all of which have distinctive, original voices. Critics and viewers alike have welcomed Westworld and Insecure, as well as the return of Sarah Jessica Parker to the network after 12 years with Divorce."

Westworld is averaging a gross audience of 11.7 million viewers, outperforming HBO's star performers Game of Thrones and True Detective during similar times in their first seasons. Divorce and Insecure are averaging 4.4 million and 3.2 million viewers, respectively, on par with network's half-hours like Veep and Girls.

On the release date of Westworld season 2, Casey told Entertainment Weekly, “My suspicion is sometime in 2018 because of how big the world is and what goes into shooting it. So I don’t have a date exactly – they’re going to have to map it out and write the scripts – but my guess is sometime in ’18.”

He also mentioned that wouldn’t be any major changes in the storylines of Westworld, Insecure or Divorce in their second season, “We’re happy with the directions all shows are headed at the end of their seasons and into their second seasons…Divorce took on a subject which we know is fraught and that it is probably the most honest look at divorce and that comes with some dangers. It’s a painful subject, it’s a really black comedy, and it’s not for everybody. It’s important to put it out there.”

On being asked about Game of Thrones’ prequel talks with author George RR Martin, he said, “I would say it’s still kind of preliminary, ongoing talks. There are areas we are exploring but I wouldn’t point to any one and say this is what we’re going to do.”

Divorce and Insecure air every Monday and Westworld airs every Tuesday on Star World Premiere HD in India.
