Rani Mukherjee's family has been organising Durga Puja in the city for the last 67 years. However, this year the Bong Beauty will be missing the celebrations. Rani will be flying outside the country during the same time.
Rani Mukherjee who tied the knot with filmmaker Aditya Chopra last year is expecting their first child in January next year.
Sources have suggested that Rani does not want any rumours to surround her child and hence she is taking every precaution needed. Earlier she was also seen having a pre-natal massage in London by some sources.
North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja secretary, Dev Mukherjee spoke to Jagran.com and said that "Anyone who wishes to attend the puja, can visit it. There are no formal invites sent. Rani has been attending the Puja for last several years but this year she might miss it."
Rani Mukherjee's spokesperson has confirmed the news saying that Rani would be not be in the country during the Durga Puja celebration. The pandal this year will be attended by Bappi Lahiri, Ayan Mukherjee, Pritam and Anurag Basu.
