Sources say that popular rap singer Yo Yo Honey Singh is all set to make his TV debut with a musical show on Star Plus. So far, the Lungi Dance singer has appeared on the small screen as part of special events and awards shows. Recently, there was news of him being a part of the upcoming season of Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa, but the singer denied it. Speaking from South Africa, where he is on a concert tour, Honey says, "I am very clear that if I have to do a TV show, it will be connected to music.
I will not be a part of any reality shows. As far as Jhalak is considered it's completely fake news. I am getting several offers, but I am in talks for a musical show, the concept of which is very interesting and crazy -- something you have never seen before. However, I cannot disclose anything right now as things are yet to be finalised. I will be back in India probably on April 4 or 5, after which I will be holding talks with the people concerned."
Though his songs were initially considered controversial because of the lurid lyrics, Honey today is one of the most prolific playback singers and has churned out several Bollywood chartbusters, the latest being Aaj blue hai paani (Yaariyan) and Chaar bottle vodka (Ragini MMS2).
