A superhero flick is generally perceived to be a ‘guy thing’. But Khan wants women audiences to appreciate his next.

He is known as the badshah of romance and has an  entire generation of women swooning over him thus leaving their male counterparts green-eyed. They have always formed a formidable chunk of Khan’s fan base and clearly king Khan is in no mood to lose it.

Therefore, he wants the fairer sex to like his next  which is a superhero flick,  as generally it is considered a guy thing.
Says Khan, “I hope little girls and women like it. I want women to like it (Ra.One). In fact I want this film to be a family entertainer, more than anything else.”

“This movie unlike other super hero films which only click with boys. My film  will be for everyone.” Though the movie comes after Krishh and Drona, Shah Rukh Khan feels sci-fi genre is not order of the day in Bollywood.

He explains, “First, I do not think super hero films are the order of the day. Secondly, I have always believed that one should only do films that one believes in. I have been toying with the idea of doing a big film like this for a couple of years. I spoke to Anubhav (Sinha, the movie’s director) about six years ago so you can imagine how long this has been in the making for.”

Talking about the amount of research he and Anubhav did, Khan says, “I saw about 200 films almost all belonging to the same genre. When we went to Los Angeles for research, all what we did was to watch films. We spent so much time just watching movies and talking about how we wanted our movie to be.”
