Less than a month after Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan announced his separation from wife Sussanne, the actor on Wednesday denied reports that the box office collection of his last film Krissh 3 were inflated.
The actor, on his official Facebook page, posted a clarification on the issue.
"Some from the industry and certain sections of the media are hellbent on putting me, my father and Krrish 3 down. I have maintained my silence until now but these derogatory manipulations need to stop. Krrish 3 has done a business of about Rs244 crore in India and around Rs55 crore overseas. I wonder who these people are who have been so affected by these numbers and my success, the actor said in the FB post.
"Are they the ones I call my friends, I wonder? I would like to tell them that they need not ever be insecure about another man's success cause all they need to do is concentrate on their own hard work which in turn will help them achieve what they want. In the meantime, stop manipulating the press! Believe in karma. As my father and I do. And one last thing about my father and me as a team - We've only just begun!," Hrithik added.
Krissh 3 is the third installment of the Krissh franchise which started with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003.
Hrithik's personal life hit a rough patch with the actor separating from his wife of 13 years in December.
The latest statement from the Bollywood hearthrob also hints at some trouble brewing between his colleagues and friends from the industry.
Hrithik's statement announcing separation from Sussanne had shocked many of Sussanne's friends as the actor made no bones about who left whom.
The statement read, "Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship."
Some of Sussanne's friends had even questioned Hrithik's mention of his illness in the press brief.
We wonder, what Hrithik's 'friends' will have to say after they read his latest statement.
