I am still called 'Jassi' on the roads. I have left a mark forever. I am glad that the show ended and didn't go for a 20-year leap, says Mona Singh.

What is 'Extreme Makeovers' all about?
The show on Sony aims to give makeovers to extreme cases of disfigurements — victims of acid and explosions, scars, a congenital cleft-lip or a prominent birthmark. We have shot for the promo which invites entries from those seeking the treatment but cannot afford it. We wish to give them a new face and a new life.

Do you miss the attention that you got as 'Jassi'?

What about a film project that you were supposed to sign?
Right now I am concentrating on 'Extreme Makeovers'. I am also enjoying this break by spending time with my sister and nephew who have come down from New Zealand.

You've been linked with co-star Karan Oberoi. Do these link-ups upset you?
Yes, they mess up life. I could be sitting and enjoying coffee with a friend and the next day I could be linked. Your friendship is ruined and I wouldn't want to meet him again!

So, is there a special person in your life?
Not yet. But I am a very romantic person. My man should be successful, witty and good-looking. I am not looking out for him rather I am waiting for him.
