I enjoy Japanese food more than the Japanese, so it’s got to be Wasabi at the Taj. I also find the thali at Chetna and Rajdhani irresistible.

My favourite suburban restaurants are Olive and Seijo & the Soul Dish.

An ideal Sunday brunch for me would be South Indian food at Mysore Café at Matunga.

For raste ka khana, I relish the rolls at Bade Miya and Ranjit’s Vada Pav at Khar.

I have so many favourite designers…I don’t know where to start! Wendell Rodricks, Hemant Trivedi, Malini Ramani, Monisha Jaisingh, Seema Khan (my sister-in-law, by the way) and Rick, who’s my personal stylist.

I love browsing in various stores but Kimaya and Ensemble are my regular haunts.

I buy most of my shoes abroad, but if I do need something urgently, I’d go to Rinaldi at Colaba.

I’ve always dreamt of living in Cadbury House at Mahalaxmi. When I used to travel from the suburbs to town, the building was my landmark that chalo, I’ve reached town.

I also have special memories of Thane, the place that I was born and brought up with the lush greenery, lakes and the quaint neighbourhood. We lived in a bungalow that shared a common wall with my school.

I sometimes miss my Thane days – running around with the colony kids, climbing over the walls and Jamun trees and enjoying every bit of our carefree life.
