Although veteran choreographer Saroj Khan has apologised for her strange justification to defend casting couch in Bollywood, it hasn't gone down well with many. The National Award winning dance guru was asked to comment on Sri Reddy's nude protest over casting couch in Tollywood to which she said that it has been in existence since Baba Azam's time. She said, "It is not new. Someone or the other always tries to take an advantage of a girl. The government officials do it too, then why are we only behind the film industry? It provides livelihood at least," she further said, "Does not rape and leave you. It is up to the girl, what she wants to do. If you don't want to fall into wrong hands, you won't. If you are talented, why would you sell yourself? Don't blame the film industry's name, it is everything to us."

Sri Reddy also reacted to Saroj Khan's remark and told ANI that she has lost respect for her. Telugu actress who gave out shocking details about casting couch in Telugu film industry and named bigwigs down south said, "I lost respect for you Saroj ma'am. Being an elder you should give a good path to young actresses. It is giving a wrong indication that you have to be a slave to producers: Sri Reddy (actress who alleged that women are sexual exploited by producers) on Saroj Khan's remark. "

Saroj Khan got a lot of flak for her statement and has apologised for it as well.
