Actor Sikander Kher is back on the big screen and is excited that he’s got films he can look forward to

It has been over two years since Sikander Kher took a break from the big screen. But, the young actor believes that holding on to his guns has been the best thing he did.

“I always wanted to be convinced about what I do. Nothing excited me, which was why I did nothing. Though, I don’t regret it as I was busy golfing and lived my life to the fullest,” says Sikander, who’s back on the big screen with Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.

“I play Nirmal Sen, who is a revolutionary. He’s an angst-filled youngster, who has been to jail many times and will give up his life to get the British out of his country. It is a true life story of someone who is inspirational. I hope I’ve done justice to him,” says Sikander, who is also filming for Abbas-Mastan’s film Players currently, along with Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

“This film is completely different from what I’ve done in KHJJS. It is a young and peppy film and since it is inspired from The Italian Job, you will find a lot of adrenaline. My character is of an automobiles and explosive expert, it will be a lot of fun,” says Sikander.

While the character may be most guys’ envy, what Sikander is most excited about is his trip to the Arctic Circle. “We’re going to shoot in New Zealand, Russia and the Arctic Circle. Everyone is already dreading the fact that it is going to be very cold. But, I’m totally excited because it will be the first time that I’d see snow, which is where most end up mocking me as well,” says Sikander.

Will this mean that he’s back to the groove and will sign more films? “I guess so. I got two films that convinced me and I am convinced that I’ll get more,” signs off Sikander.
