With over eight films under production, Jimmy Shergill says he want to achieve this dream in the next two years.

Jimmy Shergill, by self-admission, prefers quality over quantity. This year though, his own theory of "less, but good work" palpably goes for a toss, as he has over eight films in different stages of production, including 'Rehguzar', 'Rahgeer', 'Chamki Chameli' and Eklavya. 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' and 'Bas Ek Pal' are up for release too.

Shergill is quick to defend, "I don't like working in chunks. I first complete one project and then move on to the other. So from my end it wasn't planned that I will do so much work. It happens sometimes."

With news of Shyam Benegal's 'Chamki Chameli', of which he was a part since the inception, being taken over by Sanjay Gupta with a change in the casting one wonders where he fits in now. "As far as I know, I am there in the project. Shyamji and I have been in touch. Beyond that, if there's any change, then I have no idea," he explains.

Interestingly, Shergill goes in for a new look in 'Bas Ek Pal'. "It's an urban story and I have a very trendy look," he says, adding that he has never been afraid of experimentation. "Even if you see my roles, you will see a mix. That's what I am looking at. The idea is not to repeat myself." He admits though that he has a soft corner for light-hearted films. He isn't entirely wrong either, for his comical track in 'Dil Vil Pyar Vyar' and the role of a physically handicapped man in the recent 'Tom Dick and Harry' were honest attempts at comedy. "I prefer comedy any day. It is so much fun reporting on the sets, because you know you will have fun. I too just chill out," he laughs.

It may sound ironic, but Shergill, who has been doing fairly good work, hasn't got his dues yet. His talent remains underused. It's been no less than nine years since he surprised one and all with his performance in 'Maachis'. "I am not insecure, first of all. So I don't feel that way. I think I have done good work. You will see me around a decade later too, doing good work and being happy. That's what I aim for. I believe in working hard. It's destiny that will decide what I will get and at what time," he explains philosophically. But doesn't he, like other actors, want to be another Shah Rukh Khan? "Of course, I want to be and that too in another two years!" he laughs.
