Karan Johar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's friendship goes back decades. They even finally came together for a film last year where Aishwarya played the woman Ranbir desired in KJo's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Aishwarya is now bereaved. She lost her dad last week. After battling against cancer for years, her dad Krishna Raj Rai lost the battle and succumbed to the deadly disease last week. The whole industry was present to give some strength to Aish but Karan who happens to be one of her closest friends was nowhere to be seen.
Reports suggest that this has upset Aish and things are not fine between the two friends. But according to an India.com report, there's a huge reason why Karan couldn't attend the funeral. The report says that Karan's been busy with his twins Yash and Roohi.
"Both the kids have been in the NICU ever since they were born. They are supposed to come home any day now. Karan has been spending most of his free time at the hospital or making arrangements for the kids at home," quoted the report.
And the article also added, "Aishwarya is currently mourning the death of her father and will be out of public eye for some time now. Till then, we will just have to wait and watch to know if Karan and Aishwarya have gone from being friends-to-foes or if they have sorted issues (if any) between them."
