Salman Khan's Sultan revolves around the story of an underdog wrestler, capturing how a once-upon-a-time champion wrestler bites the dust only to be resurrected back stronger. Aamir Khan's Dangal is about a wrestler who lives his dream of representing the country through his daughter's victories.

The two stories are very different, with the only common thing being the theme - wrestling. Aamir too opened up about the comparisons and told Catchnews.com, "It is a co-incidence that Sultan and Dangal are releasing in the same year. We have a different story any the only similarity between the two is wrestling. In my opinion, Dangal goes beyond wrestling and it is a very emotional story."

He also added, "There are so many films set against the backdrop of wrestling, so I don't think we should compare Sultan and Dangal. I am very excited to watch Sultan as Salman's film are very entertaining. I recently watched the teaser and trailer and I absolutely loved it."

Not just this, despite there being rumours of a reported tiff between Aamir and Salman, the former lauded the latter. "I have always been a huge Salman Khan fan. He is the inspiration behind my bodybuilding. He, in my opinion, is a gifted personality," Aamir told.
