RJ Balaji is not just an RJ, but an activist and an actor too. He is as humble as ever when he says, "I don’t exactly know how people see me. But I’ve always believed in one thing – To be good and do good work rather than be famous. So whatever I am doing, be it professionally or working for a cause, I intend to do my best. It’s like when I walk on the road and see a garden beside it, it’s a bonus and even if I don’t see it, I'll continue to walk.”
He has now teamed up with Jai for Pugazh and their hilarious combo is said to be a highlight in the film. The duo was already highly talked about in Vadacurry, especially for their witty lines.
“Jai is one of the coolest guys to work with and we have a great time when we are together - be it onscreen or off screen. We have so much fun and I think that reflects on screen. Although, Pugazh is a political thriller, there are quite a few fun moments in the film,” explains RJ Balaji. He says that he plays a small town boy along with Jai in this film. "I am sure Director Manimaran will be in the list of the top commercial directors after the release of Pugazh," he adds.
“Since the director felt that the script demands a natural setting, we shot the film across the locales of Avadi. Jai and I were so happy that hundreds of people would show up to greet us every day. After a few days, they were like cordial friends asking us, 'Hey guys! Why are you late today?” smiles RJ Balaji.
