Jennifer Lopez has worked her charm to help raise 6.7 million dollars for Aids charity at a Cannes Film Festival auction.
The Back-Up plan actress tried to tempt the audience to drive up the bids on about 10 luxury lots, which included a gold-plated bottle of champagne and a monkey-shaped pendant in diamonds and gemstones.
In fact, Chris Tucker and designer Karl Lagerfeld also tried their hand in encouraging bidding at the Cinema Against Aids benefit, reports the Mirror.
Guests at the star-studded event included actress Naomi Watts, Paris Hilton, Giorgio Armani, Naomi Campbell and Mick Jagger.
And the performers at the evening were punk icon Patti Smith and Mary J Blige, who captivated the crowd with her acapella rendition of Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven.
Russell Crowe and Tom Ford were among those who took to help lead the auction.
Proceeds from the event will go to the American Foundation For Aids Research (amfAR), a non-profit organisation that supports HIV/Aids research.
