Josh Brolin’s weight fluctuations for his role in the upcoming thriller ‘Oldboy’ affected his mental state and made him moody, director Spike Lee has claimed.

The filmmaker said that the 50-pound weight gain affected the ‘Men in Black’ actor’s personality and made him unhappy, Universal Pictures India reported.

Lee said that although it doesn’t take months to lose the weight, but it does affect one’s psychology and you become another person with that weight gain.

The 45-year-old actor met with a bunch of doctors and dietitians that came with a safe program for him to gain weight and to lose weight over a relatively short amount of time, Lee added.

‘Oldboy’, which will hit Indian heaters on December 13, tells the tale of a man who is kidnapped for 20 years without knowing why, only to be released one day and given the tools to fight those who imprisoned him for so long.
