The actor threw a big bash for his friends at luxury hotel in Chennai.

He is an actor sans pareil and his movies range from being serious and thought-provoking to fun and hilarious. As Kamal Haasan turns a year older, his passion for cinema only gets stronger. The actor celebrates his 61st birthday on Saturday just before the release of his latest movie Thoongavanam on November 10.

Kamal Haasan threw a big bash for his close friends at a luxury hotel and daughter Shruti Haasan flew in from Mumbai for the occasion.  She took to her social media page to wish her 'Appa' on this special occasion. Many other celebs also took to social media to wish him happiness and much love on his birthday.
