Actor Sonu Sood has played good samaritan, helping countless people during these difficult times of COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, a video of the the actor’s fans pouring milk over his life-size poster surfaced on social media.
'F.I.R' actor Kavita Kaushik was quick to respond to the video and slammed Sood’s fans for “wasting milk”.
Taking to Instagram, the ‘Bigg Boss 14' contestant wrote, “We love @SonuSood and the nation will be indebted to him forever for his selfless acts, but I'm sure even Sonu will be unhappy with this foolish and uninspiring act of wasting milk in times where people are dying of hunger.. why are we so extra always with everything ??!!”
Earlier, Sonu Sood had shared the video on his Twitter handle and said he was “humbled” by the act. In the video, two men can be seen pouring milk on Sood’s life-seize poster, to convey that people should take Sonu as an inspiration and help others.
The actor’s fans, however, objected to the act. They said that even though they highly respect Sonu Sood, the milk could have been used feed the poor instead. “Humbled toh theek hai Sir but mana karo unhe. Wasting milk over this is not good,” said on user.
Another user said, “They could have donated this milk to someone in dire need of it.”
Sonu Sood has been in the limelight since last year for his philanthropic work during the coronavirus pandemic. He has helped the migrant labourers, the poor and most recently, worked to provide oxygen cylinders and hospitals beds to the needy. On April 17, the actor was diagnosed with COVID-19.
