Kichcha Sudeep and wife Priya file for divorce

Kannda actor Sudeep, better known as Namma Kichcha Sudeep, and his wife Priya Radhakrishnan applied for divorce by mutual consent in the family court in Bengaluru,on Friday.The couple has been married for 14 years.

According to sources, Sudeep gave his sister the power of attorney to submit to the court on his behalf. It is believed that Sudeep has agreed to pay Rs. 19 crore compensation to Priya. 

Gandhinagar, the hub of Kannada film industry, had been agog with rumours about Sudeep’s alleged affair with a Kannada heroine. 

Sudeep and Priya got married in 2001. When contacted by media persons Sudeep reportedly said, “It is my personal problem. Everyone has a problem.  I can’t comment on it. Please don’t blow it out of proportion,’’ Sudeep said.

Sudeep also addressed the news on Twitter-

The couple has a 11-year-old daughter Saanvi. According to reports, it has been mutual agreed that Priya will have custody of Saanvi. 

Sudeep, who acted in Kannada and Telugu movies, including SS Rajamouli’s Eega and Baahubali, made debut in Sandalwood with film Sparsha, directed by Sunilkumar Desai.
