October, her birthday month, is proving to be lucky for Kriti Kharbanda, as she now signs Adda, the Subramaniapuram remake

If we’ve spammed you with many stories of actor Kriti Kharbanda this month, then we’re not to be blamed. “I don’t know what it is, but I’ve signed as many as four films in a single month. This is something that I never saw coming, but I am not complaining,” says Kriti.

The actor has been signed on as the main lead opposite director-turned-actor Prem in Adda (the remake of the hit Tamil film Subramaniapuram). “This is going to be a completely different film, as opposed to the others. I go completely de-glam. In fact, my fair complexion is quite the problem as I play a small town girl. We shot for the promo stills, where I just used kajal and lip balm for my make up,” says Kriti.

The film will be directed by Mahesh Babu, who directed Kriti in her Kannada debut Chirru. “I’m really excited to work with him. He’s a fantastic film-maker and I also am equally keen to work with Prem, who’s such a big name in Sandalwood,” gushes Kriti.

The young actor was all set to launch her designer boutique, partnering with her mother at her residence soon. “I have always been interested in designing. In fact, I’ve done the designing of my clothes in most of my films. We’ve begun the construction work, but I will now be busy shooting for four films simultaneously in November. But, I’m sure my mother will not complain,” says Kriti, who quips, “Had I known working on my boutique would have got me these many films, I’d have started one long back.”

And just before signing off, she says, “I’ve signed yet another big Kannada film, but I will not be able to reveal details about it just as yet, because the filmmakers have asked me to keep mum till they take off."
