Actor and singer Kunika Sadanand Lall, who already has two albums to her credit, has launched a remix album ‘Joombish’. It includes numbers of music director O P Nayyar and was released by the veteran.

Nayyar praised the semi-classical trained singer, “Although she has sung remixes of my tracks, she has not tampered with the original melody.” What made Kunika, who earlier was averse to remixes, opt for them this time? She reasons, “Due to market pressures I had to include them. But I consider it as a disguised blessing because where would I get to sing Nayyarsaab’s gems like ‘Aaiye meherbaan’ and ‘Pooch mera kya naam re’?”

Kunika was assisted by brother Kabir Sadanand and brother-in-law and director Deepak Tijori  whilst shooting the videos of the album. She says,“There is no strip-tease in them . Instead we have the poignant theme of war victims in the number ‘Ali dum’.” Kunika states that she would “prefer to donate the proceeds of the sales to charity.”
