Tareefan reprise (Veere Di Wedding) hitmaker Lisa Mishra is collaborating with singer Vishal Mishra of Bumro (Notebook) fame for a new track, Sajna Ve, which is the latter’s first non-film song. Set to release on May 20, Lisa tells us that when Vishal first played it on the piano for her, she was addicted because of its strong hook line. “By the time I added my vocals, it had acquired a really breezy rhythmic sensibility and we both loved the sound. I’m sure the audience will like this as much as I do. The song basically sings itself!” she enthuses. For Vishal, it has been a crazy journey and a special track because he has collaborated with a non-film indie artiste for the first time, too. “It’s a beautiful track that I have composed, sung, written, and featured in the music video. It’s the kind of track that you don’t get to work on for a script-centric film.” Being a non-film song, he felt free while working on it.

“Guitar is the soul of the number,” says Vishal, adding that Lisa is outstanding and has given the voice to the song exactly the way he thought while writing the notes. “It’s my first single and I look forward to this one. In the middle of all the film music that I am doing, this is a different trip altogether and helps me to express better,” he states.
