Madonna’s Udaipur sojourn
The singer is likely to visit India soon; Rajasthan features prominently on her tour itinerary.
If sources are to be believed, pop icon Madonna will soon visit India for a vacation during which she’ll visit Udaipur.
However, the details of her tour are being kept under wraps as she wants to spend time alone without being chased by the flashbulbs. She came to India last in 2008 with her then-husband Guy Ritchie and three children to spend the New Year.
She was then followed by the paparazzi as she visited slums, flea markets and old forts.
A source says, “The last time around although there were privacy issues, Madonna and her family had a blast in India. They toured Mumbai and then flew to Udaipur from where they went to a privately-owned fort around 150 kms from the city to spend their New Year’s Eve. It was quite a memorable trip for her and she loved the Indian cuisine and culture. It seems like Madonna is in vacation mode again but this time she will travel alone.”
The source adds, “Last time when Madonna walked the streets of Mumbai a massive crowd followed her. And though her security was very much in place, it’s always a risk to expose her in public. So this time her visit will be a low-key affair. We don’t even know the dates of her arrival and her tour plans. Only when she lands will we get to know. But she will definitely visit Rajasthan.”
