Makers of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah' reveal why Bhavya Gandhi can't play Tapu anymore!

There have been reports about Bhavya Gandhi aka Tapu quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah to pursue a career in films.
He also claimed that his character in the show had stagnated. However Asit Kumarr Modi has a different story to tell.
He says, “Bhavya was part of the show for eight years and has grown up with it. As the show progressed naturally, he was shown as a college going kid. However, Bhavya couldn’t act as a college student or a grown-up. The director was wondering how to develop the character because Bhavya didn’t change his technique. So, he asked him to brush up on his skills.
However, he opted to take up a Gujarati film instead.” Now, the makers are on the lookout for a new Tapu.
