Manish Goel, last seen in the finale of Welcome - Baazi Mehmaan Nawaasi Ki, has been roped in to play a super villain in the Mahamovie Hum Ne Li Hai... Shapath. The two-hour film is slated to air in the third week of July. “Shapath has been featuring supercops and super villains, but what I am doing is a special film where I am the baap of all the villains.
A little psychotic, I sing and dance. I use the gun as a mike, guitar or a cricket bat. I kill people and then talk to them rather than the other way round,” explains Manish who is looking forward to the response for the role. “As an actor, I am looking for challenges. This is the first time I am playing a negative role with superpowers and I have a feeling this will land me some good offers,” smiles Manish, who has been missing in action for quite some time.
The actor came into the limelight playing the sneaky husband in Kasauti Zindagi Kay. In fact, he ended up playing three different characters in the serial. “I had a comic track, a villainous role and was almost central character for sometime,” says Manish who went on to play the lead role in Bhabhi. “Kasauti is a landmark serial because it got me my wife Poonam and set my career on track,” says the actor who feels that TV, since then, has undergone a lot of changes. “We played the hero to the gallery, today whether you are a hero or a villain, there is a lot of characterisation and the roles are well-etched,” he says.
