A still from Kalki 2898 AD, the actor who played Lord Krishna in the film

Neither Nani, nor Arjun Das, but this Tamil actor has played Lord Krishna in Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan's latest epic, Kalki 2898 AD.

Nag Ashwin's latest sci-fi actioner, Kalki 2898 AD stood on the monumental budget and audience expectations. The Rs 600-crore visual extravaganza has left moviegoers stunned with the marriage of Indian mythology and a dystopian world with top-notch visual effects.

Kalki 2898 AD has a stellar cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Saswata Chatterjee. There are also some eye-pleasing cameos by Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, SS Rajamouli, and Ram Gopal Varma. However, the actor, who played Lord Krishna, has become the topic of discussion.

The movie starts with the Kurukshetra war, with a confrontation between Krishna and Ashwatthama (Amitabh). Lord Krishna has a crucial role in Mahabharata, and thus the actor who portrayed this role won appreciation from the audience. Many fans guessed that either Nani or Arjun Das had played Krishna. The makers didn't reveal Lord Krishna's face, and they left the audience puzzled about the actor who played the role. However, now it's revealed that the actor who played Krishna is none other than actor Krishnakumar Balasubramanian.
