Cast: Arjun Mathur, Tisca Chopra, Kay Kay Menon, Vishakha Singh, Paoli Dam
Director: Suhail Tatari
Rating :**
The film begins as a medical drama that involves a young boy Ankur Arora (Vishesh Tiwari) losing his life on the operation table due to negligence at the hands of a renowned surgeon Dr Asthana (Menon). It chronicles his mothers (Tisca) battle to get justice and battle the corrupt system to set the wrong right and make sure there are no more such accidental deaths.
Despite being a court room drama it lacks the finesse its genre requires. There was immense scope and possibility for the film to take off and become an engaging legal thriller, but the cliches and predictable subplots prevent the story from rising above the ordinary. There is enough medical mumbo jumbo and technical terms that are used to make the proceeding believable, but the research and ground work doesn't get the right platform.
Performances are consistent with most of the cast going out of the way to try and deliver more than expected. Both Menon and Chopra bring out the best in themselves to make their roles stand out in a crowd. However, the romantic track between Arjun and Vishaka serves no major purpose other than being a distraction.
The film engages you in the beginning but loses steam because of a its weak execution.
