Hundred per cent crap
'Good Boy Bad Boy'
Cast: Emraan Hashmi, Tusshar Kapoor, Tanushree Dutta, Isha Sharvani, Paresh Rawal
Direction: Ashwini Chaudhary
Rating: 1/2
What can one say about a film that rests on the premise that the college peon makes a mistake? The result is that the good boy (Tusshar Kapoor) is put in the C division, the class meant for duffers and Emraan Hashmi's class while Mr Hashmi is put in the A division, where Tusshar should rightfully be. Never mind if in the second year Arts class they are being taught about Einstein and Newton.
Instead of just getting their classes changed an elaborate scam is set up right under Principal Paresh Rawal's nose and as the lies pile up, and nubile young women are drawn into it (Isha for Emraan and Tanushree for Tusshar), the film goes absolutely nowhere.
Neither is the plot at all exciting nor the humour in any way stimulating. And though Tusshar and Emraan try to do something with the scattered screenplay, they fail miserably.
For some strange reason Principal Rawal talks to himself in the mirror and won't let his daughter Isha acknowledge him lest the others hassle her for being the principal's daughter. Weird, this logic, but only as nuts as the rest of the film.
Will someone please tell Tanushree Dutta that she looks most unappealing with the lard she has put on? She needs to lose weight, acquire some dressing style, learn some acting… and that's only the beginning.
Himesh Reshammiya's songs sound like any other song of his in recent times filmed on Emraan Hashmi. In a word… repetitive.
As for director Ashwini Chaudhary, he had already sunk some with 'Siskiyaan' (2005) after the critically acclaimed 'Dhoop' (2003). 'With Good Boy Bad Boy', he scrapes the barrel and comes up empty-handed.
