“I didn’t believe them. How could I on April Fools’ day!” says an exuberant Hemangi. An established model who has walked the ramp for many a designer, she was selected as the ‘Face of the year’ by Carbon Accessories, the jewellery sponsor for Lakme Fashion Week.
Speaking on her newly attained ‘face value’, she said she looked forward to endorsing the product line as it produced jewellery that was subtle, delicate yet contemporary and sophisticated.
Her new role pushes her into the limelight of brand promotion, events and into the arena of ad films.
So, does that imply a farewell to ramps? The answer is a firm ‘No’. “Ramps are my first love and that’s not going to change ever. Everything else is second priority.”
