We had told you that while everyone's thinking that Fan is about a superstar and his look-alike fan's adulation, it's way more than just that. A thriller of sorts, Fan will have Shah Rukh Khan essaying two of the primary characters- the superstar Aryan Khanna and his doppelganger Gaurav Chandana. And surprisingly, both will be against each other in the film.
Gaurav, who's been a huge fan of Aryan since childhood is not the usual fan you thought he would be. It's not just a story of a fan's undying love and adulation. It's more about how Gaurav's admiration towards his superstar slowly turns into a lethal obsession.
Remember how Shah Rukh Khan had played the psychotic loverboy in Yash Chopra's Darr? He had given us the chills and perfected the act. At a time when everyone was choosing the usual romantic and action roles, SRK tried to be different. And picked risky roles like in Baazigar, Darr and others. 23 years later, the same banner YRF is planning to revive the same SRK from Darr. Through Fan.
While the makers had carefully kept the plot line under wraps for the longest time, the new poster released right ahead of the fan trailer has confirmed the same. Bringing back the psychotic obsessed loverboy SRK in Fan was Maneesh's main brief. And the new poster sums it up. The poster has Gaurav in an all-new menacing look, which is certainly a diversion from the image painted for the audiences with the second teaser. It's SRK v/s SRK this time. And we're already getting the chills!
