As we get closer to the much awaited musical treat of the year (the Bacardi NH7 Weekender), the buzz and tattles around it are only growing bigger and louder, as this time around, the ‘Pune fest’ will be extended to Delhi and Bangalore too! Though the line up is yet to be announced, from what we know, there are going to be six stages in every city, each dedicated to a different genre of music and experience.
Apart from the trademark dance and electronica stage Eristoff Wolves Den, The Dewarists Stage with folk and fusion music, Bacardi Black Rock Arena with rock and metal, Dub Station with dubstep, drum and bass and reggae, and The Other Stage with some exciting singer-songwriters, there’ll be a new stage introduced this year — The Fully Fantastic Indie Stage, which will be dedicated to the young and rising bands. Moreover, there’ll also be a new Bacardi Breezer area with crazy costumes and insane colour, where the DJs will be spinning reggae, funk, jazz, salsa and other music to make you move.
Talking about taking the festival to three cities this year, Vijay Nair, CEO, Only Much Louder says, “The response to the festival last year was quite overwhelming and was something we never expected. So we had to get back this year with a plan that wouldn’t disappoint any of the festival fans, and taking the festival to three cities is just part of that plan. We’re bringing acts from all over the world to Pune, Delhi and Bangalore...,” adds Nair. The festival — that boasts of 200 artists and 60 pre-parties — will take place in Delhi from October 13 to 14 at the Buddh Internatinal Circuit in Noida; in Pune from November 2 to 4 at Amanora Park Town; and in Bangalore from December 15 to 16.
