During his interaction with Jimmy Fallon, American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas explained, “As you know, I’m married to Priyanka. When we got married, the hashtag ‘National Jiju’ started. ‘Jiju’ means elder sister's husband, so effectively, I’m the older brother to India.”

The host then showed a clip from a Jonas Brothers concert in India, where Joe and Kevin Jonas introduced Nick as 'Jiju.' Singer Nick Jonas, who is married to Priyanka Chopra, performed along with his brothers Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas as part of the Jonas Brothers concert at the Lollapalooza India 2024 in Mumbai, on January 27. The trio enthralled the crowd with their amazing hit songs in their first performance in India.

A clip from the Jonas Brothers’ performance surfaced on social media, with the audience chanting “jiju, jiju” as Nick Jonas performed on stage. Nick replied to the crowd saying, "I love you all so much, thank you. As a family, we have a deep connection with this beautiful country. I've been waiting to be in India for a long long time."

During the performance, Nick’s older brother Kevin referred to him as 'Jiju,' suggesting a special connection to Mumbai for the three Jonas brothers, thanks to Nick’s marriage to Priyanka Chopra. Kevin used the nickname before performing their song "Waffle House" from their studio album.

Before the set, the organizers played the wedding track Gallan Goodiyaan from the 2015 film Dil Dhadakne Do, which starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas alongside Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, and Shefali Shah.
