There is a terrible news for Kapil Sharma's fan. The popular reality show Comedy Nights with Kapil will be winding up after witnessing a three years of successful run.
The last episode of the show is supposed to be aired on 17th January 2016, as reported by ABP live.com. Earlier, a leading English daily had reported that it is Kapil's team's decision to end the show as they are unhappy with the 'step-motherly treatment received from the channel.'
Reports suggest that Kapil's team felt that Comedy Nights with Kapil was being sidelined with the channel promoting Comedy Nights Bachao more aggressively. “We have been successfully entertaining the audience for the past three years with our content. But when our show became a habit for the viewers, they introduced another one on similar lines. Celebrities who readily agreed to come on our show were told that they will have to make an appearance on the other show as well. I understand the pressure on the channel to work towards making their shows a hit, but not at the cost of sabotaging an established one,” Kapil told the English daily.
Kapil also said that he is fine if the channel has decided to launch new shows, but he added by saying that no two programmes should have similar content and celebrities. Kapil concluded the discussion by mentioning that though he has great respect for people heading the channel, he does not want to be a part of the "crowd" and thus wants to call it a day, as reported by ABP live
