For third movie in the Kung Fu Panda franchise, Po is in for a surprise of his life.
We all know that in Kung Fu Panda 2, while fighting Shen (Gary Oldman), Po comes to know that he is the only one alive of his species. But in end credits we see that there is a whole village full of pandas going about their business.
According to USA Today, in Kung Fu Panda 3, Po Ping will meet his father and others in that village. Po runs into his father Li, voiced by Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston, who will take him to this panda enclave and we will see loads more cuddly pandas in all sizes from babies to oldies! There is also a young amorous female panda Mei Mei, voiced by Pitch Perfect star Rebel Willson, who is a ribbon dance enthusiast but no love interest of Po. So, no panda love story there.
As we know, Po is adopted son of Mr. Ping, the duck who owns a noodle shop. There will be some conflict as Mr Ping will have a hard time digesting the biological father-son reunion.
That's not the only conflict to otherwise cuddly panda story. Po and Furious Five will have to deal with a menacing supernatural villain called Kai. Po will have to train the pandas in the village in martial arts to fight back, reported USA Today.
The third movie will have original cast reprising their roles. Jack Black as Po, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Seth Rogen as Mantis, David Cross as Crane, Lucy Liu as Viper, James Hong as Mr Ping, and Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu.
New members of the cast are Bryan Cranston as Li and Rebel Wilson as Mei Mei.
A new panda village means a lot of pandas and baby pandas and pandas galore in general!
