She was even persecuted and issued death threats by Kalyan fans.

Earlier, the former model and actress chose to stay mum, but now she believes that it is time to speak.

Renu, who has avoided the limelight till now has finally opened up about her marriage. Renu Desai took to Facebook to share an interview where she bared her heart about her divorce and wrote, I am starting a new chapter of my life and I would like all the blessings and good wishes possible. This interview is not about Kalyan Garu or me talking negative about him. This interview is my letting go of my past and my closure. And I would take this opportunity to again sincerely thank everyone who have stood by me and given me the strength to believe that I have a chance at life again."

As reported by IndiaToday.in, Renu said that it was Pawan who insisted on the divorce in spite of her initial protests. She even questioned all Pawan’s female fans, who abused her on social media.

Renu asked, “I get hate messages from many female fans of Pawan garu. I want to ask them only one question. How would you feel if Pawan was your husband and after 11 years of marriage, he becomes a father to another daughter without telling you?”

She also went on to say that she requested Pawan to issue a joint statement about the divorce. But Pawan dismissed the request.

Renu said, “During our divorce, I requested Kalyan garu to issue a public statement to clarify it, but he didn’t oblige my request.”

While Pawan Kalyan is happily married the third time with a Russian national Anna Lezhneva, and maintains an untainted image, Renu Desai was at the receiving end of misogynistic trolls and online abuse, when she recently posted pictures on her social media from her engagement.

She expressed that the experience was torturous.

“Logging into social media is a torture for me! Most of the times, my PR is shocked to see the kind of messages people post. But I will continue to fight against the mindset of the people. I am not cheating or doing any crime; I am only getting married. The people who are posting such messages are frustrated men in their professional and personal lives and I am apprehensive about the women in their homes. But there are some good messages too,” she further added.

Unflurried now, Renu Desai is looking forward to her wedding with the new love of her life. Pawan Kalyan also congratulated her on social media.
