Spanish actress Penelope Cruz has joined director Woody Allen's actress fan club, which includes her Vicky Cristina Barcelona co-star Scarlett Johansson.
Cruz, who is tipped for an Oscar as best supporting actress for Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona, says that she loved working for the New York director, for he has a way of making his actors feel really comfortable.
"I only met Woody for one minute, then I was told that I had passed the audition," Penelope gushed at a recent London awards bash," The Daily Express quoted Cruz, as saying.
"That was it. When we started work I did all my scenes in four weeks, no rehearsal, everything in two takes.
"I loved it and although I always prefer working in Spanish, I felt really relaxed in English for the first time.
"He has a way of making his actors feel really free," she added.
