When 'Baahubali' Prabhas met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wonder which got more attention - Baahubali's bulging biceps or the 56-inch chest? On Sunday, the Baahubali team came calling on Modi who then discovered that high-flying Prime Minister had not watched their Rs 250 crore, three-year long labour of love. Prabhas asked the PM to make time to watch his gravity-defying, big screen exploits which have left audiences agape across the country and given many Bollywood mughals and badshahs sleepless nights given its collections of Rs 385 crore worldwide since its July 10 release.
Twitter reacted to the pictures put out by the Press Information Bureau calling it a meeting between real and reel life heroes.
Modi who had met Salman Khan for a kite flying session on January 14, 2014 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti has maintained a studied silence on the beleaguered Sallubhai's 'kite flying' on Twitter where he questioned the death sentence for Yakub Memon on the same day that Modi met Prabhas.
Earlier, Prabhas, accompanied by Telugu actor Krishnam Raju met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh who also expressed eagerness to watch the mega blockbuster Baahubali - the Beginning. Singh took to Twitter to announce his meeting with Prabhas and his actor uncle Krishnam Raju, also a BJP member. Singh too said he looks forward to watching Baahubali.
The movie, which has been lauded for its spectacular visual effects has received a thumbs up from the entire film fraternity. But Narendra Modi is yet to watch the film.
Narendra Modi too shared a candid shot from his meeting with Prabhas on Twitter.
