The film-maker ropes in the award-winning film and television visual effects company from UK for his forthcoming film Rajneeti.

Prakash Jha and UTV Motion Pictures, who recently joined hands to co-produce the political drama Rajneeti, have roped in award-winning film and television visual effects company from UK Men from Mars.

They’ll work alongside India’s Pixion to create some startling visuals for the film. Men from Mars have previously worked for Shekhar Kapur’s film Elizabeth, Demi Moore-starrer Flawless and An American Haunting among others.

Alpana Mishra of UTV says, “Men from Mars will be working for Rajneeti because the film needs certain visual effects which we think they can deliver. They will be working with Pixion for this.”

However, Alpana did not reveal the budget of the film, which given its cast and crew strength, will certainly be on the higher side.

UTV chairman and CEO Ronnie Screwvala says, “Rajneeti is the mother of all dramas with politics as the background. And who better than Prakash Jha to pull off a film based on politics.”

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar. DNA has learnt that there is another character in the film which is to be played by an international heroine. “We are looking out for her. But the film releases in 2010 and so it is too early to talk about it,” ends Alpana.
