On Wednesday, India created history as the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)'s successful landed of Chandrayaan-3 on the surface of the moon. Celebrities took to social media and congratulated ISRO and shared how proud they are feeling.
Actor Prakash Raj, who recently made headlines because of his latest controversial tweet, tweeted, “PROUD MOMENT for INDIA and to Humankind.. Thank you #ISRO #Chandrayaan3 #VikramLander and to everyone who contributed to making this happen .. may this guide us to Explore and Celebrate the mystery of our UNIVERSE .. #justasking.”

However, as soon as he tweeted, netizens started trolling him. One of them wrote, “first say sorry for your earlier demeaning post.” The second one said, “Aisa mat bol bhai may toh school ke gate tak bhi nhi gaya.” The third one said, “Andhere mein hi Rahena padega Prakash ko kuch din ke liye ….?? Hiding ?? Or Over action ??” The fourth one said, “UnDear Pappu Raj!Have some burnol today!”
The veteran actor on Sunday took to microblogging site X (previously known as Twitter), sharing a caricature of a man in a shirt and lungi pouring tea. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “First view just arrived from Chandrayaan .. #VikramLander #justasking."
Prakash Raj has been facing heavy backlash since then with people saying that the Chandrayaan 3 mission is linked to the country's pride. Faced with social media outrage Prakash Raj clarified on X that his comments were only intended as a joke. "Hate sees only Hate...I was referring to a joke of #Armstrong times celebrating our Kerala Chaiwala - which Chaiwala did the Trolls see? if you dont get a joke then the joke is on you..GROW UP #justasking" he posted.
Chandrayaan-3 was the third moon mission launched by India with Chandrayaan-1 launched in 2009 and Chandrayaan-2 launched on July 22, 2019. The Vikram Lnader of the Chandrayaan-3 has landed on the permanently dark side of the moon. It is for the first time that any country has achieved the feat. Shah Rukh Khan, on the work front, will soon be seen in Atlee-directed Jawan. The movie will be released in cinemas on September 7.
