Prem Chopra to get Lifetime Achievement award at a film festival

Prem Chopra will be given the Lifetime Achievement award for his contribution to cinema.

Bollywood veteran Prem Chopra will be honored today with the Lifetime Achievement award at the ongoing 7th Jagran Film Festival.

The 81-year-old actor has played several memorable characters and has managed to have a lasting impression on the minds of people, with his menacing and villainous performances.
Some of his notable films include Shaheed, Bobby, Souten, Trishul, Kati Patang, Bairaag, Dostana, Ilzaam, Ram Balraam, Kaala Patthar, Majboor, Shahenshah, Raja Babu, Dhamaal, Agent Vinod among several others.

"Prem Chopra is one of the most handsome, talented and admired actors in our film industry. Its an absolute honour and matter of pride that the Lifetime Achievement award this year is to be presented to Prem Chopra. His contribution to Indian film industry remains unparalleled," Manoj Srivastava, strategic consultant, Jagran Film Festival, said in a statement.

The 7th Jagran Film Festival is currently on in Mumbai, and the showcase and celebration of cinema will culminate on October 2.
