Sridevi in 'Puli'

Sridevi returned to Tamil cinema with Vijay's Puli which was a highly anticipated film. Unfortunately, it didn't do as expected at the box office.

Sridevi recently filed a complaint saying the producers of Puli owed her Rs 50 lakh as remuneration. She filed the complaint at the Mumbai Producers' Council which was then forwarded to the Tamil Nadu Producers Council.

Puli producers Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar then issued a statement clarifying their stand and how much had actually been paid to the actress. Now, it looks that everything has been sorted out. The producers told dna, "There was a miscommunication in the remuneration issue which was published in the media. We have a lot of respect for Sridevi ma'am. Sridevi ma'am and Boney ji cooperated with us in all the possible ways for shooting our film. They have no further complaints against us and we have sorted out this issue amicably. We would like to express our thanks her and Boney ji."
