Shah Rukh Khan's Raees was supposed to be Mahira Khan's blockbuster break in Bollywood. However, the ban on Pakistani artists as an aftermath of the Uri attacks, made all the Pakistani actors go back to Pakistan, including Mahira Khan.
Now that the makers have finally launched the trailer of Raees, the dreaded question, of whether Mahira will be a part of the film's promotions in India, has been raised once again. When the producer Ritesh Sidhwani was quizzed about the same during the press conference post the trailer launch, he revealed that they have no qualms in getting Mahira back in India for the promotions of Raees. Here's what he said:
"If we find it necessary to bring her here and involve her in the promotions, of course, she will come. I don’t think there is any restriction for her from the government as such. Aisa nahi hai ki they have stopped issuing visas to anybody to come from there. So I think as and when we will decide to involve her, we’ll get her to come."
Well, looks like if all turns out well then Mahira may join Shah Rukh Khan for the promotions of Raees in the country.
