Rahat Fateh Ali Khan denies reports of his arrest

Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has dismissed reports of his arrest in Dubai and asked his fans not to believe in such fake rumours.

After some reports came in that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been arrested at the Dubai airport, the Pakistani singer has now slammed these rumours calling them baseless and fake. He took to his social media accounts on X (previously known as Twitter) and Instagram, and shared a video against the backdrop of Dubai skyscrapers. His video was captioned, "News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless. Regards Team RFAK."

In the clip that he shared, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said, "I am here in Dubai to record my songs and everything is fine. I will only request you to don’t listen to baseless rumours. There is nothing like what the enemy is thinking. I will soon return back to my homeland and entertain you all with my superhit songs."

"To all my fans around the world, I request them again to not trust in such fake and baseless news and rumours. Don't waste your time and give respect to your favourite artiste. If you do that, your artiste will always be standing with you. You are my power. My audience and my fans are my power. Thank you very much", he concluded.

Earlier in the day, there had been reports stating that Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's nephew Rahat was arrested after several complaints were registered against him by his former manager Salman Ahmed, whom he had ousted a few months ago due to multiple differences that had developed between them. Now, the Pakistani singer has himself quashed these reports without taking any names.

The Pakistani singer has sung various hit songs in Indian films. These include Ajj Din Chadheya in Love Aaj Kal, O Re Piya in Aaja Nachle, Main Jahaan Rahoon in Namastey London, Teri Ore in Singh Is Kinng, Jag Soona Soona Lage in Om Shanti Om, and Jag Ghoomeya in Sultan among others.
