The much-publicized serial Ranbir Rano that is being aired on Zee TV is replacing its lead actor Vinay Rohrra (who plays Ranbir).
Our source says, "The channel and producers feel that they need an established star to increase the TRPs of the soap because a fresh face (like Vinay's) is not working for them. Vinay has been told that he is not needed from next week."
But the actor rubbishes the reports and says, "Yes, it's true that I have been
replaced by someone else in the soap but the problem is a family emergency. Nothing of the sort that your source said is true. The condition now is something that is inevitable. It's a matter of life and death of a member in the family. It's very unfortunate but I needed a two-week break as I will be occupied with family issues. So, I just had to quit the show."
Another source close to the production house says, "Vinay asked the production house for a leave. He agreed to even leave the show, but he could not get a leave because it was not possible for the production house to shoot without the lead actor. There is a lot of focus on his character and he needed to shoot everyday for the show."
That's why the actor chose to walk out of the show. The source says, "He has been replaced by actor Ravi Dubey of Yaahan ke hum Sikander fame."
But this is not all. Not only is the lead actor Vinay being replaced in the show but the lead actress Sakshi Talwar (who plays Rano) has also expressed her willingness to quit the show. Our sources say, "Sakshi wants to leave the show because she has a liver infection. She is quite ill due to which the production is delayed. Her health is not allowing her to shoot.
" Also, she cannot emote well which is required in the progress of the soap. But, so far, we haven't found anybody who fits the bill. We want to cast a fresh face and are on the lookout for someone to replace Sakshi."
Wonder if the replacement of the lead actors would actually help in the increase of the TRP's in this serial! Let's hope it does!
